A 39-year-old man yesterday appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court in connection with an armed raid at a post office in Burley-in-Wharfedale.
David Connor, of no fixed address, faced charges of robbery, possessing an offensive weapon and theft of a motor vehicle.
He was remanded in custody and committed to Bradford Crown Court, where he will next appear on Wednesday, April 24.
The robbery is alleged to have taken place just after 5pm on Monday, at the post office in Station Road.
Two men, said to have been wearing balaclavas and armed with hammers, were alleged to have been involved.
