Brit award-winners The Fratellis are the latest big name to be announced as part of the line-up for Bingley Music Live, the Telegraph & Argus can reveal today.
The Scottish band will join Primal Scream, The Wonder Stuff and The Cribs on the bill for the three-day festival this summer.
Other acts announced by Bradford Council today, include Lucy Spraggan, who briefly appeared on The X Factor, and Britain’s Got Talent finalists Loveable Rogues. The Lake Poets, The Temperance Movement and Charlie Brown will also take to the stage.
Councillor Andrew Thornton, Bradford Council’s executive member responsible for leisure, said: “The genre-spanning line up for this year’s Bingley Music Live is already looking brilliant and more names are still to be announced. It is going to be a fantastic event and will build on its reputation for being a festival with a big heart and big sounds.”
The Fratellis’ frontman Jon Fratelli performed as a solo artist at Bingley in 2011, but returns with his bandmates as part of the indie-rock trio.
The Brit award-winning band will play material from their third album, due out in September, and play hits including their best known song, Chelsea Dagger. Indie-folk act The Lake Poets have been likened to Simon and Garfunkel, Villagers and Ron Sexsmith while The Temperance Movement have been described as Britain’s next great rock and roll band.
The Council hopes Lucy Spraggan, Charlie Brown and Loveable Rogues will appeal to a younger audience.
Lucy describes her music as a mix of acoustic, folk and hip hop. She signed to Columbia Records and is set to embark on a sold-out tour of the UK.
Charlie Brown is set to release his debut album, Dreamstate, this year.
Loveable Rogues came to prominence after reaching the final of Britain’s Got Talent in 2012. The London trio are signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco label and will release their debut single, What A Night later this month.
Bingley Music Live runs from Friday, August 30, until Sunday, September 1, at Myrtle Park in Bingley.
