A GP surgery in Horton Grange, Bradford, is backing a vaccination campaign in the fight against measles.

Woodhead Road Surgery in Bradford is putting up posters to raise awareness when European Immunisation Week starts on April 22.

According to World Health Organisation, more than 90,000 cases of measles were reported in Europe over the past three years, with more than half concerning adolescents or young adults.

Nick Giles, of the surgery, said: “European Immunisation Week provides us with the opportunity to remind people of the essential role that vaccinations play in the fight to prevent diseases.”
