Firefighters were called to a blaze at some eyesore flats in Bradford that are awaiting demolition.
Crews from Rawdon and Idle stations were called to Thorpe Garth, Idle.
Watch commander Darrell Hird, of Rawdon fire station, said someone had forced entry to the boarded-up three-storey building and started the fire on Monday afternoon.
He said the blaze was on the third floor in a bedroom that had a lot of rubbish in it.
Earlier this week, the Telegraph & Argus reported how Lib Dem Idle and Thackley councillor Jeanette Sunderland was concerned about the delay over the demolition of the flats.
