Bradford Army Cadet volunteer Russell Robinson, of Thornbury, has been honoured by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant.
Mr Robinson has been awarded the Lord Lieutenant’s Certificate – one of the highest honours in the forces, ranking alongside the MBE and rarely bestowed on civilian assistants.
The certificate was presented by Dr Ingrid Roscoe who is the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire.
A former cadet himself he joined the Bingley detachment of the ACF as a Civilian Assistant in 1992 and over the last 20 years he has helped the cadet unit one night every week.
