A Bradford man whose niece has epilepsy is preparing to lace up his running shoes to complete this year’s London Marathon.
Richard Sykes, 37, will take on the run this Sunday to raise cash for Yeadon-based national charity Epilepsy Action in support of his four-year-old niece Molly.
He said: “I have never run a marathon before and am looking forward to completing the full distance.
“I am a member of Baildon Runners, but have only been able to train since February, due to injury. I’m sure it will be a great day and hope to raise lots of money for a fantastic cause.”
Mr Sykes hopes to raise as much money as possible for the charity, which campaigns to improve epilepsy services and raise awareness of epilepsy. To sponsor Mr Sykes, visit uk.virginmoneygiving.com/onelung.
