Yorkshire Water is holding a workshop in Bradford next Tuesday to encourage more women to become engineers.
Only ten per cent of the country’s engineers are women, and the company hopes the workshop encourages more female apprentices to join their courses and training schemes, bucking the idea that it is a “job for the boys”. The event is at the Yorkshire Water Learning Centre, Esholt Hall, from 6pm to 8pm. To register, e-mail apprentices@yorkshirewater.co.uk.
