A new enterprise strategy for Bradford will aim to make the city an attractive place to set up and stay in business.
Officers from Bradford Council are working with the Chamber of Commerce to devise the new strategy.
It will be built on promoting and supporting a distinct economic identity of Bradford as a ‘Producer City’ – a district that creates, makes and trades.
The strategy will focus on identifying actions to meet three objectives: The first is to “create the conditions” to make Bradford the best place to set up and stay in business. Secondly it will be designed to “create the culture” of promoting enterprise at all levels.
Thirdly, it will focus on “knowledge and innovation”, with the private and public sector working together to promote a high value, hill skill economy.
