Families and carers of adults with learning disabilities are getting together to celebrate 35 years of a scheme which provides them with vital support.
Shared Lives is an adult placement scheme run by Bradford Council. It provides long-term and short-term accommodation and support, short breaks or daytime support for adults with learning disabilities.
The scheme has been running in Bradford since 1978.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Dale Smith (pictured), will present certificates to Shared Lives carers at a celebration event tomorrow in City Hall’s Banqueting Suite.
