Keighley MP Kris Hopkins joined forces with political friends and foes at Twickenham for the Commons and Lords rugby union team’s annual charity match, which raised more than £10,000 for the RFU Injured Players Foundation.
Their opposition on the hallowed turf at England Rugby HQ were the ‘Gentlemen of Derbyshire XV’ organised and captained by Toby Perkins, MP for Chesterfield.
The Foundation supports people who sustain a catastrophic injury while playing rugby. The charity, which currently has more than 130 clients, provides help and support for players and their families.
