A report detailing Bradford Council’s success in reducing carbon emissions and its plans for advancing renewable energy projects will be presented to the Executive at its meeting today.
Coun Andrew Thornton, executive member for environment, sport and sustainability, said: “The Council has been successful in cutting its carbon footprint and reducing energy consumption but we need to go further.
“We are pushing ahead with a programme of investment in renewable energy generation from our own assets as well as looking at how we can partner with other organisations and communities to develop district-wide renewable energy opportunities.”
