People who intend to sign up to a Community Energy Switching scheme that aims to save households hundreds of pounds off their energy bills have been warned that the deadline is approaching.
Bradford Council has joined forces with Community Energy Direct and consumer champions Which? to get the best possible deal from energy companies.
The idea is that the more people join the scheme, the more likely they are to get a better deal.
Everyone living in the district can sign up, but must do so by the deadline this Wednesday.
Under the scheme, households contact Community Energy Direct to register to switch their energy supplier.
Their details are then passed on to Which?, which then invite the energy suppliers to put forward their best-price deal.
