A band is celebrating a nomination in a country-wide competition.
Three-piece Live Lounge is competing in the Best Newcomer category in the first National Entertainment Awards.
The band formed about a year ago, but the current line-up of violinist Howard Nash, guitarist Chris Moretti and lead singer Michaela Glover have only been together for about three months.
The trio has also been nominated by Bradford East MP David Ward for the Parliamentary music competition, Rock The House and reached the final five of a Radio Aire competition.
Howard, who lives in Idle, said: “I think the reason we’ve turned a lot of heads is because of Michaela’s stunning vocals and because our covers and arrangements are quite different and quite interesting.”
The band has applied for the Bingley Music Live Emerging Talent competition to win a slot at this year’s festival.
