The chief executive of Yeadon-based Epilepsy Action is celebrating 25 years with the charity. Philip Lee first joined Epilepsy Action in 1988 as the regional appeals officer for south west England. He became the charity’s chief executive in 1996.
During his time with the charity he has served as a trustee of the Joint Epilepsy Council and is currently a trustee of the Neurological Alliance. Between 1999 and 2005 he was the President of the International Bureau for Epilepsy. Between 2005 and 2009 he was co-chair of the Global Campaign Against Epilepsy.
He said: “It’s a privilege to be part of an organisation which helps people in such a positive way. It’s fantastic to be able to make such a valuable contribution to their lives.”
