A group of friends who meet up in each others’ homes to watch films have set up an organisation screening films to wider audiences.
The difference is that audiences have no idea what film they are going to watch until they arrive!
The group, called Take 13, will hold its first event, Chandeliers, Champagne, Choc Ices, at Bradford’s Midland Hotel tomorrow at 2pm.
Phil Jackson, one of the founders, said: “Everyone has their favourite films and genre, which can sometimes mean we choose not to watch certain types of films. And this is a shame as we don’t know what we’re missing.
“The format we have means you watch and enjoy films you wouldn’t otherwise have considered, in a friendly setting. You have to trust in the person who has chosen the film.”
The project is backed by Bradford City of Film.
Tickets are available from the hotel, the Sparrow Bar or by e-mailing film@take13.org. For more information, visit take13.org.
