A 72-year-old man who killed himself left his family a note thanking them for looking after him.
A Bradford inquest yesterday heard how Masoued Elahi, of Moor Park Drive, Thornbury, Bradford, had locked himself in his downstairs bedroom on November 25 last year.
The inquest heard how Mr Elahi was a religious man of great values and faith who took his role as head of the family seriously but he had been getting older and frailer, finding it harder to cope.
Recording a verdict of suicide, Assistant Deputy Coroner Tim Ratcliffe, said he was satisfied Mr Elahi had intended to take his own life.
