Plans for new houses in Haworth Conservation Area have been given the go-ahead by Bradford Council.
The two new homes will be built on the grounds of Ivy Bank House, a Victorian Villa on Ivy Bank Lane. Nicholas Neale was granted planning permission to demolish outbuildings on the site and build the new two bedroom houses in their place.
It was the fourth attempt to build on the site, with previous applications refused for reasons such as inappropriate design and highway safety.
The Council’s conservation officers said that although in the conservation area, Ivy Bank House was not key to the character of Haworth.
Planning officers decided the previous reasons for refusal had been overcome with the latest application.
