The head of a Yorkshire Dales community interest company is encouraging people to make good use of its bus links.
Managing director of the Dales and Bowland Community Interest Company (CIC), and Yorkshire Dales Society chairman, Colin Speakman, says many people are unaware of the routes connection the area with popular Dales visitor spots.
He fears a new service could be lost if it is not better known and used.
The Sunday DalesBus is unique in the UK, being managed by the Dales and Bowland CIC – the Yorkshire Dales Society’s not-for-profit subsidiary, with most of the funding coming from Metro and the Government’s Local Sustainable Transport Fund.
Children are carried on most DalesBus services for £1 per single journey.
Full details are in the Metro DalesBus timetable booklet or the Cravenlink and Malham leaflets all available from Ilkley Visitor Information Centre.
