The Music Room Players’ production of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance Of Being Earnest raised more than £1,000 for children’s charity Candlelighters.
The show, which ran at Almscliffe Hall, Huby, made a total profit of £516.37, doubled by sponsorship from the Mibelle Group, which enabled the Players to raise a total of £1,032.74.
The Players were supported by volunteers from other amateur theatre companies, including the Menston Thespians, which loaned equipment and helped front of house.
