The landlady of The Crown Inn in Addingham is appealing for help to find a marquee for a charity fundraising event.
Maria Booth, along with Galina Harrison and Becky Shaw, have set up Nadia’s Wish to raise money in memory of their friend Nadia Shaw, who was just 33 when she lost her battle against breast cancer in January 2011.
The first fundraising event is a black tie event at The Crown Inn on Friday, May 3, featuring DJ Martin Roe, music from The Sequel Band, raffles and food.
Maria said: “Ball tickets and raffle tickets go on sale this week. We have some wonderful prizes – everyone has been very generous. However, we have been let down by our marquee hirer. We would like to hear from anyone who can help us.”
If you can help, contact Maria by e-mail at mariawells350@ tiscali.co.uk or call (01943) 830278, or Becky by e-mail at: beckyshaw@live.co.uk or call 07961 809986.
The event will raise money for Manorlands Hospice and a dream holiday to Euro Disney for Olivia Wilkinson, of Ilkley, aged four, who suffers from a life limiting heart condition.
