Steeton-with-Eastburn Parish Council is to seek funding to replace the playground next to the bowling green in Steeton.
The original play equipment was taken away last year to create space to build the Hub, the village’s new £240,000 community centre.
Clerk Rosie Sanderson told the council that three companies were due to submit costings for providing equipment for four to 11-year-olds.
The council would then consult the public and local primary school children about what they wanted in the playground.
Results of this consultation would be used as evidence when the council sought funding from grant bodies. The council will also seek grants over the next few months to complete remaining aspects of the Hub project, including paving, planting, and a knee rail in the car park.
