A series of walks exploring Saltaire and Baildon’s history are planned.
The first of the treks, organised by Helen’s Heritage Walks, is tomorrow. A three-mile circular walk around Shipley Glen and Bracken Hall Green will start with a ride up the Shipley Glen Tramway as part of Saltaire Heritage Weekend.
On Saturday, May 11, a 3.5 mile circular walk along the Leeds-Liverpool Canal will cover Hirst Wood to Nab Wood Cemetery.
And on Saturday, June 8, another 3.5 mile circular walk takes in the old Milner Field estate, exploring the site of the Victorian Gothic mansion and its gardens at Gilstead.
All walks start at 10.30am from the Half Moon Cafe in Roberts Park, Saltaire.
