Plans for a new business park including a Sainsbury’s superstore are to be unveiled next week.
A two day public exhibition of the planned Wyvern Park, in Skipton, is due to take place at Christ Church, Keighley Road next Friday and Saturday, April 19 and 20.
Developers Henry Boot and Sainsbury’s say it will be a chance for people to comment on the plans for the 58-acre site between Waltonwrays and Sandylands Sports Centre.
If approved by Craven District Council, the new park will feature a 40,000 sq ft Sainsbury’s and 280,000 sq ft of new industrial and commercial space, some of which is earmarked for a hotel, pub and restaurant.
Access would be off a new link road from Carleton Road to the A629 Western Bypass, with the development expected to generate up to 1,200 jobs.
Ben Ward, senior development surveyor for Henry Boot, said: “We’re keen to make sure that our plans are the best possible fit for Skipton so the views of local people are very important to us.”
The exhibition will be open from midday to 7pm next Friday and 9.30am to 4pm next Saturday.
