Work by Year six pupils at Fulneck Junior School are now being viewed by children all over the world.

The ten and 11-year-olds are sharing their school work on an educational internet site aimed at fostering links around the globe, in addition to boosting reading and writing skills.

The children are being tutored in their “blogging” sessions by teacher Gemma Zincke who began the lessons while teaching in Monaco.

She said: “The blogging sessions, which are an extension of our normal English lessons, are proving increasingly popular with the pupils and encourage learning.

"In addition to helping them with their reading and writing, it gives them the opportunity to interact with children across the UK and the globe.

“Since September, their work has been viewed over 3,000, times from youngsters living in as diverse places as Liverpool and New Jersey.”
