A colourful Tudor rose-style design has landed first prize in this year’s Ilkley Carnival painting competition.
Eleven-year-old Marisa Allen, from Westville House School, was chosen by the judges to be the winner and her picture will now adorn the front cover of this year’s carnival programme.
Other winners included Lydia Robson, eight, also from Westville House, who won first prize in the Year 3-4 category and Oliver Johnson, seven, from the Ben Rhydding Primary School, who claimed the Year 1-2 category.
