A new date has been confirmed for the Epilepsy Action Bradford 10k road race, which was postponed last month after heavy snowfalls.
The Yeadon-based charity’s annual run will now take place on Sunday, April 28, and is still accepting entries for the 6.2 mile challenge which has raised more than £170,000 since its inception in 2008.
Runners will follow a 10k route, from Centenary Square to Frizinghall and back.
Katie Stocks, fundraising events officer at Epilepsy Action, said: “We are very excited to be able to confirm the new date for the Bradford 10k. There’s not long left to apply, so we’d urge anyone thinking about running to sign up as soon as they can.
“If running doesn’t take your fancy, we’re also looking out for volunteers and marshals to help out on the day. Everyone involved in the Bradford 10k, whether running, cheering on runners, or marshalling the course, will be making a difference to the lives of the 600,000 people with epilepsy across the UK.”
Entry costs £20, or £18 for runners affiliated to a UK athletics running club.
Prizes are awarded for both males and females placed first, second and third, and for winners of the veterans' categories and a free running top will be given to everyone who completes the race.
The deadline for entries is Thursday, April 25.
