Social landlord Incommunities has a new group board chairman, which it says will strengthen its main board and give fresh impetus to its work delivering excellent customer services and ensuring the organisation is focused on meeting the key challenges ahead.
Dave Procter has taken over as the group board chairman, which oversees the organisation’s overall performance. He replaces Martin Smith – Conservative councillor for Ilkley – who has stepped down after more than ten years.
Mr Procter, of Keighley, is a former housing association chief executive with more than 40 years’ experience of the social housing sector and governance.
Geraldine Howley, Incommunities group chief executive, said: “Dave will bring strong leadership, a wealth of housing experience as well as a valuable business approach.
“He will also oversee the work of our Housing Association, commercial and foundation boards. This appointment will put us firmly in the driving seat to meet the challenges that lie ahead.”
