A Yeadon artist is appealing for people to let him know their hopes and wishes, to include in his new sculpture.
Peter Swidrak is planning to make a sculpture of a cityscape called The City of Hopes and Wishes.
He said: “I have been working on the idea for some time and finally the plans are all in place. Now I just need people to send me their hopes and wishes so that I can incorporate them into the sculpture.”
The sculpture will be comprised of five skyscraper buildings made from copper tube. It will be two-and-a-half metres high and three metres long.
To be part of the project, Peter is asking people to write down their hopes or wishes, as long as they are positive, in up to 50 words and send it to artmakesmesmile@gmail.
