Civic dignitaries gathered for the official opening of Steeton's Community Hub.
Coun Mike Gibbons, the Deputy Lord Mayor of Bradford, cut the ribbon to formally open the community centre.
He was watched by Steeton-with-Eastburn parish councillors as well as mayors from Keighley and Ilkley.
Also represented were community groups and organisations that helped fund the £240,000 building.
The parish council led efforts to build the Hub as a replacement for Steeton’s rundown bowling club pavilion The new building, which is next to the bowling green, offers a large function room, meeting rooms, kitchen and toilets.
Parish council chairman David Mullen said: “It’s a brilliant building and we’ve got groups using it and others interested in using it.”
Those who have expressed interest in hiring the Hub include childminders, a Zumba instructor and Bradford Council Youth Service.
