Firefighters said a Keighley family had a lucky escape after a fire broke out in their home on Saturday night.
A mum and her five children, included a five-week-old baby, were in the house in Spring Street when the blaze started in an attic bedroom at about 9.50pm.
Keighley and Bingley crews dealt with the fire which destroyed two rooms.
Keighley watch commander Paul Turner said the smoke alarms in the house were not working.
He said: “Luckily the family were all okay, but I would urge people to please check their smoke alarms are in working order.”
The family has been temporarily re-housed in Bradford as it is expected to take several weeks to make the house habitable again.
