The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Dale Smith, is hosting a fundraising dinner for a Parkinson’s charity.
The civic dinner will be held at Bradford’s City Hall on Friday, April 19, as part of Parkinson’s Awareness Week.
The week, which runs from April 15 to 21, aims to raise awareness of the condition, which affects one in 500 people in the UK.
Coun Smith said: “I was so inspired by the work of Parkinson’s UK after attending a weekly exercise class run by the Bradford and Shipley branch of the charity that I offered to help in any way I could and I am so pleased that they took me at my word.”
Tickets for the dinner cost £29 for four courses, including a glass of wine. Call Maureen Leveringtonon on (01274) 826176.
