A Slovakian man will be sentenced next month after robbing two elderly women in Bradford.
Marion Pokuta, 22, of Falcon Street, Great Horton, Bradford, admitted two charges of robbery when he appeared at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.
He pleaded guilty to robbing Laura Clarke, 89, of Cecil Avenue, of jewellery, on November 4 last year, and robbing 94-year-old Doris Burnett, of Great Horton Road, of jewellery, on January 16 this year.
The court heard Mrs Burnett had since died.
The judge, Recorder Graham Hyland QC, told Pokuta, who had the use of an interpreter: “I cannot sentence you today without a report about you. I am going to ask the author of the report to consider the risk factor and the dangerousness provisions.”
Pokuta was remanded in custody until he is sentenced on April 29.
