Thieves broke into the Yorkshire Water site at Snaygill, Skipton, using a track off the main estate road to get into the compound, lifting a gate off its hinges and cutting a perimeter fence.
They forced open three containers and an outbuilding and stole property including drills, a tool bag containing various hand tools, drums of hydraulic oil and two DVD players.
The theft occurred between 2am and 6am on Thursday.
