Bradford’s Oastler Shopping Centre market has been chosen as number three in a list of the best markets for world food. The list appeared in a national newspaper’s magazine supplement.
In the Sunday Telegraph’s ‘Seven’ Magazine, celebrity chef Vivek Singh put Bradford Council’s Oastler Centre among tourist hotspot the Spice Bazaar in Istanbul, and three other world-famous markets.
Coun Susan Hinchcliffe, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Employment, Skills and Culture, said: “We are extremely proud of our markets and delighted that it has received national recognition. "Along with St James’s wholesale market being voted the Best in Britain two years running, this is a real feather in the cap for us.”
