A primary school’s new classroom for children needing extra support has been boosted with a donation from the town’s Yorkshire Building Society.
Staff at the branch in Keighley Road, Skipton, raised £250 for the town’s St Stephen’s RC School which was then boosted by a further £1,000 from the company’s charitable arm.
Branch manager Natalie Bolton (pictured with Lili Simpson in the new numeracy area) dropped in to the school to meet the children and see just how the donation was to be used.
“When one of our valued customers told us about the new classroom, we looked at how we could help,“ she said. “I really hope the new classroom space and equipment will benefit many more children for years to come.”
