Two of the district’s best- loved pubs have made it onto a list of the UK’s top 150 real ale establishments.
Camra, the Campaign for Real Ale, says the pubs were all chosen by local branch members who votes were based on customer service, value for money, decor, customer mix, atmosphere and the quality of the beer!
The Yorkshire region’s winners included The Boltmakers Arms in Keighley and Old Cock in Otley. They will now go forward to Camra’s Regional Pub of the Year competition announced in September with the winner of that award standing a chance of winning Camra’s National Pub of the Year title.
Camra chief executive Mike Benner said: “These winning pubs have been voted the best in their local areas by the local Camra members and are examples of the kind of well run and valued community pubs we hope to see more of.”
