Keighley school pupils took part in a sponsored run in aid of vulnerable adults and children.
The youngsters from Holy Family Catholic School and St Anne’s Primary School took part in the run in the grounds of Cliffe Castle to support the work of Catholic Care.
The agency runs residential homes for children, along with supported living services for the elderly, people with learning disabilities or people with mental health needs.
A Holy Family spokes-man said the total raised had already reached £1,200.
Dave Metcalfe, assistant head at Holy Family, said: “It wasn’t just about the fundraising, although Catholic Care like all similar agencies is financially squeezed at present.
“This was about offering students the ethos of being caring and responding to the needs of others.”
