Bradford choir Chordiality is celebrating its 20th anniversary by teaming up with Bradford Metropolitan Concert Band for a performance.
The choir has recently been busy with a concert at St Winefride’s Church in Wibsey, where it presented a Concert of Sacred Music for Lent, including a performance of Karl Jenkins’ Stabat Mater.
The 32-strong choir which, with three soloists, provided a meaningful start to Holy Week, has come a long way since it started as 12 friends meeting at a member’s home to practise on Sunday evenings. Proceeds from the concert went to the St Vincent de Paul Society, a Christian voluntary organisation providing assistance to those in need.
* The 20th anniversary concert is at Beckfoot School, Bingley, on Saturday, June 22, at 7.30pm. For tickets, ring (01274) 780239.
