A Bradford shopkeeper was hit on the head with a tree branch when he was confronted by ‘Little and Large’ robbers.
Two masked men burst into the corner shop, in Bolton Hall Road, Bolton Woods, shortly before 10pm on Sunday, and demanded money, police said yesterday.
When the 29-year-old proprietor refused, the man with the branch hit him over the head with it and the two men fled empty-handed.
The shopkeeper did not require hospital treatment.
The suspects left in a small dark car, which had a third person in it.
The man with the branch was white, 6ft tall, in his early 20s, and of medium build. He spoke with a local accent and was wearing dark gloves, a blue jacket and light grey tracksuit bottoms with green stripes.
His accomplice was only 5ft tall, the same age, slim, and wore a light grey hooded top and tracksuit bottoms. Both wore balaclava masks.
