Motorists are being warned of hazardous driving conditions across the district as the snow turns to ice.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Yorkshire and the Humber, with sub-zero temperatures forecast for the next few days.

A spokesman said: “Although some further slight snowfalls are likely, with one to two centimetres of fresh snow in a few places, the focus switches to ice, with sub-zero temperatures persisting over existing snow cover for many areas.

“The public should be aware of the risk of localised disruption to transport during this spell of wintry weather.”

The Highways Agency is also urging motorists to take extra care in the bad weather.

The forecast for tomorrow is overcast, with temperatures of between freezing and -1C.

On Monday, more snowfall is predicted, and temperatures could reach as low as -3C.

And on Tuesday, freezing fog could add to motorists’ misery, with temperatures of between -1C and -3C expected.

But the wintry weather hasn’t just brought disruption - Bradford’s Lister Park and City Park were among the places where families have been enjoying the snow this weekend.
