Sir - I wonder if through your pages I might appeal to your readers for help in filling a gap in my family tree!
I was born and brought up as a child in Baildon, leaving there in 1941/2. My mother, Eleanor's family name was Beck and my grandmother was a Harrison.
I have traced recorded details for much of the Beck side but am stumped by one name, George Cooper Beck. He was born in around 1879/80.
He lived at 46 King Street and became a police constable. He married Gertrude Nichols in July 1903, witnesses being Joseph Beck and Zoe Beatrice Nichols.
If any of your readers can offer any further information I would be most grateful.
