Sir - I am anxious to trace any descendants of Katherine (Kate) Kearney, who grew up and lived in Bradford during the 1860s/ 1870s, and later became a nurse and medical advisor in Afghanistan.
I am a writer, researching her remarkable life, and believe there may still be people in the Bradford district who have a distant connection to her.
Kate became Mrs Daly but had no children of her own. However she was survived by at least three nephews: James and Thomas Tempest, sons of her sister Rose (last known addresses- Birch Lane and Springwood Avenue) and James Leinster Kearney, her brother's son.
If any readers are linked to these names, or hold any information, however small, about these families, I would be very grateful to hear from you. I can be contacted by email on cliddl@aol.com or telephone 01535 654528.
