A support group for sufferers of endometriosis in Keighley is back up and running.
Michelle Middleton ran the group for several years, but had to put meetings on hold in 2012 due to ill health.
The group will be relaunched on Monday at 7pm with a meeting at the Toby Carvery, opposite Victoria Park.
The group offers support, informal topic-based discussions and professional speakers, as well as advice and support via e-mail, telephone and face-to-face meetings.
Michelle said: “I have well in excess of 130 local women on my contact list and it grows at about five enquiries every week. Only a small fraction ever have the courage or opportunity to come to a meeting though.
“The amount of women who have been struggling without support and then discover there are others is staggering.”
Michelle runs a web page at endometriosissupportgroup.co.uk. She plans to raise at least £300 for Endometriosis UK during 2013. There will be a national awareness week for endometriosis from March 4 to 10
