A troupe of cute performers have been winning the hearts of Bradford panto audiences, stealing scenes in the Alhambra show.
Appearing alongside Billy Pearce, Lynda Bellingham and Brendan Sheerin in Cinderella are four Shetland ponies called Midge, Micro, Charm and Po.
The ponies have been supplied for the Alhambra panto by Ian Lucken, one of the country’s largest providers of ponies for pantomimes. Midge, Micro, Charm and Po are being stabled locally during their time in Bradford.
The smallest of the ponies is Midge who is eight hands high – 2ft 8in.
As soon as the ponies have made their appearance on stage, they return to the stables to be fed and rested, before returning for a second show. Cinderella runs until Sunday, February 3.
