The young mum-of-two tragically killed in a crash on Sunday involving a car carrying a group of Bradford men has been named by police as Emily Phillips.
The 25-year-old, of Boothtown Road, Halifax, was travelling with her partner and two young children in a Vauxhall Astra which was involved in a collision with a black Seat Leon at 3.30pm in Boothtown Road.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her partner and children were seriously injured.
A blue Mercedes CLK was also involved in the incident and police have so far arrested seven people in connection with the accident.
A 25-year-old man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remained in police custody today.
A 19-year-old Bradford man, who was arrested on Sunday, has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
No further action is to be taken against five other people who were arrested after the crash.
Detective Chief Inspector Scott Wood, of West Yorkshire Police, said: “This was a young family going about their daily business, but have suffered the ultimate tragedy.
“Two young children have been left without a mum.”
