Sixth formers at Titus Salt School in Baildon have raised £200 for The Sick Children's Trust.
The school’s social committee organised a fancy dress Halloween party last October and raised the money through ticket sales. The proceeds went to The Sick Children's Trust, a charity which provides free ‘home from home' accommodation for families of sick children whilst they are being treated in hospital.
Students chose the charity after it helped their Post 16 Administrator, Isabel Kogut and her family, when her granddaughter was admitted to Leeds General Infirmary to undergo heart surgery.
The leading committee organisers for the event were Jordan Anderson, 18, Brogan Mitchell, 18 and Bethany Maggs, 17.
Jordan said: “We had a disco and a buffet and everyone really enjoyed themselves, but most importantly we raised money for a good cause.”
