A 50-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after coming off his racing bike in Baildon yesterday.
The Baildon man was cycling along Potter Brow Road towards Mill Lane at about 1.40pm, when he came off his bicycle and suffered serious head injuries.
He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by air ambulance.
Police closed the road between Mill Lane and the junction with Old Lane and Hillings Lane for around three hours while officers examined the scene.
The road was re-opened at 5.40pm.
Witnesses or anyone with information should contact the major collision inquiries team via 101.
