A Keighley town councillor said she would like to know what measures were in place should Keighley experience serious flooding.
Commenting during the latest full town council meeting, Councillor Margaret Ward said the subject of community flood plans had been raised at a South Pennine branch meeting of the Yorkshire Local Councils Association.
“As we’ve been flooded in Keighley in the past I’ve asked the clerk if she could ask Bradford Council what the plans are for Keighley,” she said.
“It would be good for us to know, especially as there has been some thought of the town council having its own flood and emergency plan.”
