The owner of a former nursing home has lodged an appeal over his plans to convert it into bedsits.
Tariq Majeed’s plan to turn the now-closed Langdale Nursing Home in Keighley Road, Cowling, into 17 bedsits with a warden’s apartment was refused by Craven District Council in November.
At the time, councillors were told Mr Majeed had already informed the council he was appealing to the Planning Inspectorate because the authority had overrun its time to make a decision.
Councillors, who had been recommended to approve the application, voted against the scheme on the grounds they had received insufficient information about the intended use of the building.
