One of the area’s most prestigious arts festivals has received a funding boost from Yorkshire Building Society.
The Bingley Robertshaw Festival of Music, Speech and Drama has received £250 from the Bingley branch of the building society to help with running costs of the event in March.
Karen Doran, Yorkshire Building Society’s Bingley branch manager, said: “Since we opened our doors last year we’ve been committed to helping causes in our local community”
The branch opened in the 5Rise Shopping Centre in June.
Gillian Roper, of the Robertshaw Festival committee, said she was delighted with the award.
The Festival of Music, Speech and Drama takes place at Beckfoot School, Wagon Lane on March 1 and 2 for speech and drama classes and March 7 and 9 for music classes.
